The term came from the marriage of two words... web and log. We combine the two words to get the word.. blog. Blog describes a type of website. The idea of a blog may have started with people publishing their personal content. As personal publishing grew in popularity, so did the term blog. Today, blogs can be simple or very sophisticated websites with huge amounts of readers.
